Kerry Washington surprised a few by tweeting one of her New Year greetings in Igbo. She tweeted “Afo Gbara Aka Laa o” which more or less translates to “May The Year go without mishap.”

For those that don’t know Kerry Washington secretly married Nigerian NFL football player, Nnamdi Asomugha earlier this year, and the couple are expecting a baby pretty soon.
