Five survivors, Agagu’s Body Recovered From Lagos Plane Crash

Five survivors were rescued from this morning’s plane crash and are currently receiving medical attention at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.
A propeller aircraft operated by Associated Airline, 5N-BJY, chartered flight, crashed in Lagos shortly after taking off from the domestic wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport due to engine failure. The impact of the crash tore away the tyres and wings of the plane from its body.
The plane was carrying 20 passengers, including the corpse of former Ondo State Governor, Segun Agagu. Airport authorities are yet to ascertain if the 20 passengers included crew members.
The plane was en-route Akure, where Ondo State government officials, including Governor Olusegun Mimiko, as well as some members of Mr Agagu’s family were gathered at the Akure Airport waiting for the corpse of the former governor.
The passengers included family members and associates of the late Agagu, as well as top government officials. Airport authorities confirmed that five survivors were rescued but could not reveal any identities yet.
