Angelina Jolie Never Thought She Would Have Children
While promoting her upcoming film Maleficent, Angelina graces the cover of Elle magazine’s June 2014 issue with a gorgeous black and white portrait.
Inside the magazine, the actress opens up about having children — and how she never even thought it was a possibility for her.
“I never thought I’d have children,” she shared.“I never thought I’d be in love, I never thought I’d meet the right person. Having come from a broken home — you kind of accept that certain things feel like a fairy tale, and you just don’t look for them.”
Angelina adopted her first child, son Maddox, in March 2002 while she was still single. Later, after meeting and falling madly in love with her fiance Brad Pitt on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Angelina adopted a daughter,Zahara, in July 2005. In 2006, both children legally changed their last names to Jolie-Pitt in honor of Angelina and Brad’s relationship.
Shortly after, the couple welcomed their first biological child together, daughter Shiloh. Since then, they adopted another son together, Pax, in 2007, and later welcomed a set of biological twins, Vivienne and Knox, in 2008.
Angelina Says She Has ‘History’ With Brad
During the Elle interview, Angelina opens up about her committed relationship with Brad.
The couple have been engaged since April 2012 after dating for seven years, and plans for their wedding are finally underway.
“You get together and you’re two individuals and you feel inspired by each other, you challenge each other, you complement each other, drive each other beautifully crazy,” she opened up about her fiance, Brad.
“After all these years, we have history and when you have history with somebody, you’re friends in such a very real, deep way that there’s such a comfort, and an ease, and a deep love that comes from having been through quite a lot together.”
Angelina’s issue of Elle hits newsstands on May 20, and Maleficent will be in theaters on May 30
